WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Johnson Abbott 107 of Warrenton, GA entered into rest June 10, 2008 at Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Johnson United Methodist Church with Dr. Gary Abbott and Rev. Charlie Knowles officiating. Mrs. Abbott was also the oldest member of Johnson United Methodist Church and the oldest member of the Burkhalter Chapter of the D.A.R. CRAWFORDVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Taylor Gunn, 93, of Crawfordville, died May 13, 2007 in Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Taliaferro County and the daughter of the late Robert L. Taylor and Fannie Mae Treadwell Taylor. She was the widow of Paul L. Gunn. Mrs. Gunn was a homemaker and a member of the Raytown Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Raytown Methodist Church with Rev. Arthur Gunn and Rev. Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Johnson Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson, a native of Beaufort, SC was the daughter of the late James Leroy Sr. & Margaret McTeer Butler. She had been a resident of Warren County since the early 1950's where she and Mr. Thompson owned and operated Thompson's Restaurant. Mrs. Thompson was a direct descendant of Thomas Heyward, Jr. a signer of the declaration of Independence. Mrs. Thompson was of the Episcopalian Faith.
