- Days on the island - 33- Mother's day - Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, a divorced mom from Burlington, Vt., pushed aside maternal instincts to ponder strategy, even possibly joining nemesis Robert "The General" DeCanio. - Days on the island - 12- R.I.P. Maraamu - Back on "Survivor: Africa," they swapped tribe members in Week 5. This time, six members were randomly picked to swap tribes. Neleh Dennis, Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien and Paschal English joined Maraamu, while Sean Rector, Rob Mariano and Vecepia Towery moved to Rotu. Let the record show that Maraamu's fate was sealed on Day 10.

Survivor Watch: week 7- Days on the island -- 21- Who's who at Soliantu -- The traditional midway merger ended the miserable Maraamu and reigning Rotu tribes. The Soliantu (Marquesan for "oh no you didn't!") tribe claimed Camp Rotu as home.
