AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Wright Williams, 54, of Lakeshore Drive, Aiken, SC who died July 8, 2006, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Mr. Tim Johnson officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was a native of Jackson having made Aiken her home for the past 32 years. She was a Baptist, a former Circulation Supervisor with the Aiken Standard and retired from the Aiken County Board of Education. Survivors include her husband J.R. Williams, Sr.; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Henry Lawrence and Jennifer Wright, Jr., J.R. Williams, Jr. and James Abraham Alvin Williams all of Aiken; two daughters, Bettie Anne Williams and Delilah Ellen Dianne Williams both of Jackson; father, William Alvin Clements, Sr., Jackson; a brother, William Alvin Clements, Jr., Hickville, TN; four grandchildren, Markus O. Mathis, Katherine Colleen Wright, Samantha Lynn Wright andSara Erinity Williams; Uncle and Aunt, Thomas and Tonya Huffman, Merritt Island, FL. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Wright, Jr., J.R. Williams, Jr., James Williams, John Williams, Albert Black and Markus Mathis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening from 6 to 8. Gerline Freeman Boggs (NEW ELLENTON, S.C.)

NEW ELLENTON, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Gerline Freeman Boggs, 80, of Jefferson Street, New Ellenton, SC, who entered into rest March 12, 2008, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Interment in Sunset Memory Gardens. Mrs. Boggs was a native of McComb, Mississippi, having made New Ellenton her home for the past 58 years. She was a founding member of the New Ellenton First Church of the Nazarene where she devoted her life in service to others. She was an accomplished musician and as a young girl played to dobro in many local talent contests in her hometown of McComb, Mississippi, often winning cash prizes to help support her family during the depression. Cooking and serving others was her passion and she was well known for her homemade biscuits and chicken and dumplins. Mrs. Boggs was the wife of the late Floyd M. Boggs, mother of the late William M. Boggs, Sr. and Brenda Boggs and grandmother of the late Benjamin Boggs. She was the daughter of the late Richard G. and Martha Freeman and sister of the late Mary Freeman. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary & John L. Mixon, III, Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby & Shirley Boggs, Sr., North Augusta; a brother, Richard G. Freeman, Athens, GA; ten grandchildren, Tanya Boggs Willey, Kimbereley Rogers, Kari Jeffcoat, Justin Boggs, Stacey Chafin, John L. Mixon, IV, Bobby Boggs, Jr., Richard Oliver Mixon, William M. Boggs, Jr. and Bridget Boggs; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dewey Walling, Mike Merriett, David Lankford, Gary Odom, Randall Odom and Jerome "Buddy" Key.
