SYCAMORE, S.C. - Mr. William Ted Cone, Sr., 61 of 438 W. Main St., died Saturday, June 3 at University Hospital after a short illness. He was born December 15, 1944 in Orangeburg. He was a son of the Late William W. Cone and Mary Louise Loadholt Cone. He was a self-employed farmer, a member of The Sycamore Baptist Church, a current Deacon, a board member of the Farm Bureau, and Mayor Pro-Tem for the town of Sycamore. Surviving are his wife, Ouida Williams Cone of Sycamore; one daughter, Margaret Taylor (William) of Sycamore; two sons, William Ted Cone, Jr. (Denise) of Sycamore, Jason Pretto Cone (April) of Sycamore; one brother, Jerry Michael Cone of Sycamore and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Sycamore Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Charles Hattaway with burial following in the Fairfax Cemetery. He was the son of the late DeSaussure E. and Margaret Niver Pinckney. He was Chief Security Officer with Clariant, a member of Clariant Fire Department and First Responder. FAIRFAX, S.C. - Mr. W.H. "Bill" Googe, husband of Pearl Googe, died Sunday morning. He was 86. Mr. Googe was born January 18, 1919, the son of that late Judge Wallace Googe and Mary Ferguson Googe. He was at B&T Grocery seven days a week for 60 years. He was a member of the Fairfax First Baptist Church.
