THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. Royce B. Stephens, Sr., 80, entered into rest May 4, 2004. Husband of the late Edna Sue Smith Stephens and father of Emory Calvin Stephens. He was a native of Athens, Ga., but had made his home in Thomson for many years. A retired foreman at Ga. Vitrified Brick and Clay Co., a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a veteran of U.S. Army World War II. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 4 p.m. at Washington Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Blakewood officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson.
