AIKEN - Aiken Regional Medical Centers threw a big party with fireworks, beach music and a carnival for the entire community Saturday to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The free event was held around the pond in front of the hospital on University Parkway. Sharon L. Hagan, director of development for Aiken Regional, said the public celebration was planned as a result of the backing the community has given the medical facility over the years. "We want to thank the community for their support," she said.
