AIKEN -- Mr. Jimmy Gray Davis Sr., 64, of 860 Sycamore Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Southlawn Cemetery with the Rev. John Zimmerman officiating. Mr. Davis, a native of Kannapolis, N.C., had retired as owner of Davis Painting Contractors. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of North Aiken Baptist Church. He had lived in Aiken for 25 years. His family said he enjoyed fishing, was a devout Christian and loved his grandchildren.
