ATLANTA -- Georgia's effort to lure high-paying high-tech jobs to the state has gotten its first bite. Gov. Roy Barnes announced Tuesday that an alliance formed by Motorola Inc. and Lucent Technologies will become the first to join the state's Yamacraw Mission, an initiative aimed at making Georgia a world leader in the microchip industry.
