Offers defense of manufactured homes

There is no more passionate desire in the American dream than that of home ownership. But recent attempts to limit manufactured housing in Richmond County will affect many young families, couples looking for affordable retirement options, upwardly mobile singles and others for whom manufactured housing is the best option. Rezoning of land in south Richmond County from agricultural to R-1 is a misguided attempt to deny this dream to some, and it will result in higher property taxes for others. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone involved.
