Georgia toddler found crawling along road; dad arrested

CARLTON, Ga. -- The father of a 1-year-old girl was arrested after she was found crawling along Georgia Highway 72.The child was rescued by a Carlton man who told deputies he was driving from Elberton about 10 a.m. Friday when he spotted the child crawling along the fog line of the highway, according to a Madison County sheriff's report. The man stopped, placed the crying child inside his vehicle and called 911, deputies said.
