Georgia running backs coach quits

ATHENS, Ga. -- Tony Pierce, running backs coach for No. 6 Georgia, has resigned, citing personal reasons, coach Mark Richt said Monday.\r\n

Former Georgia quarterback Mike Bobo was named quarterbacks coach at his alma mater and Tony Pierce, the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach at Wake Forest last season, was named running backs coach of the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Bobo, who coached quarterbacks at Jacksonville State in Alabama last season, was a four-year letterman with the Bulldogs from 1994-97 and is among the school's career passing leaders. GYMNASTICS:
