Fishermen who frequent Strom Thurmond Lake usually leave the boat ramp they launch from far behind in their never-ending quest for a catch. This writer, his wife and Yorkshire terrier "Princess Augusta Tickletummy" decided to fish the Lake Springs area on Wednesday since thick fog prevented long runs to other sections of the lake. Actually, the dog had nothing to do with the decision. She was just along for the ride.
