VIDETTE, Ga. - Mrs. Molly Jean Thomas, age 69, beloved wife of Mr. John S. Thomas, Jr. of Vidette died Tuesday April 10, 2007 at the Doctors Hospital - Augusta. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. today Friday April 13, 2007 at the Bethel A.R. P. Church in Vidette GA with the Rev. J. Roy White officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Dhu Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Bethel A.R.P. VIDETTE, Ga. - Mrs. Molly Jean Thomas, age 69, beloved wife of Mr. John S. Thomas, Jr. of Vidette died Tuesday April 10, 2007 at the Doctors Hospital - Augusta. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday April 13, 2007 at the Bethel A.R.P. Church in Vidette GA with the Rev. J. Roy White officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Dhu Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Mrs. Thomas, a native of Emanuel County, GA was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Bishop Allmond and the late Mr. T. C. Allmond. A resident of Burke County since 1959, Mrs. Thomas was retired from Zip Office Equipment and a member of Bethel A.R.P. Church. The family said, "Mrs. Thomas will be remembered for her devotion and love of family". Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Mr. John Samuel Thomas, Jr., Vidette, GA, her mother, Mary Bishop Allmond, Vidette, GA, one son, John S. "Johnny" (Dominee) Thomas, III, of Waynesboro, GA, two grandchildren, Dylan and Megan, one niece, Susan (Drew) Homer and two nephews, Bill (Caroline) Cartmell, and Lee (Bobbie) Cartmell. Two daughters, Teresa Ann Thomas and Alisa Ann Thomas and a sister, Linda Cartmell preceded Mrs. Thomas in death. Pallbearers will be Tommy Rowland, Tate Horton, Rhett McBride, Clem Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Bill Johnson, Chad Shivers, and David Raley. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Bethel A.R.P. Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 P. M. Thursday evening in the Social Hall of the Vidette United Methodist Church. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Bethel A.R.P. VIDETTE, Ga. - Ruth E. Will, 88, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2006 at University Hospital in Augusta. She was born on December 29, 1917 in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Forest and Gertrude Neely Edwards. She had lived in Vidette since 1991 and was a member of Bethel A.R. Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail J. Will. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of DeLoach - Kennedy Funeral Home, Waynesboro, GA, with Reverend Dr. H. Don Yancey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Stallsmith (William), of Vidette; three grandchildren, Robert Stallsmith, of Enterprise, Alabama; Susan Symonds, of Gloucester, Virginia; Wade Stallsmith, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland; five great grandchildren, one great- great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
