A salute to history

Augusta doesn't lack historical monuments, although the ones it has now are fairly modest. They do, at least, pay tribute to and reinforce the importance of our city's history. But historical monuments honoring the efforts of Augusta's African-Americans are few and far between. To be precise, there are two - they look like tombstones and the average citizen would be hard-pressed to find them.
